Figuring Figo

lately i've been having problems with my laptop. i do not know what's up with it. despite holding a degree in Software Engineering, i am actually clueless when it comes to troubleshooting. i'm definitely not a technical person. and i'll shamelessly admit, i dun even know how reformat. 

so first and foremost, let me introduce you to my laptop. it's name is Figo Khan. wahh..!! hindustan tau.. ahahaha. KIDDING! just Figo. it is 38 months old (in my hands). i would like to show you its picture but i took back that idea considering how unpretty it is - old, used-up, funny marks, with broken parts, loose stickers, mysterious content underneath its keypad (i always find weird things whenever i clean it).. and it is also now running on life support. its battery could only last for like 5 minutes and it's totally dependent on the external fan. the internal fan is no longer working. not rosak but full of habuk i believe. i couldn't clean it because the last guy who did it, screwed it back so tightly that i couldn't unwind it. one day i got really determined that i tried and tried until the screw surface turned from philip (the plus sign) to totally round. so not just that i had sealed that fan there for eternity, i also badly blistered my palm. see. that's how un-technical i am.

figo is really2 slow lately. startup took forever, the cpu is always busy doing something in the background (i believe spyware), always hanging, sesuka hati disconnect and connect me to my Messengers  and the sound is very shattered and shaky. every song seems to be presented by Louis Armstrong. u know.. that guy from the song "what a wonderful world~~~". imagine how Mariah Carey - Touch My Body sound on my laptop nowadays. creepy isn't it?!

actually since i've bought figo 38 months ago, not once have i ever reformatted it. never. i had been very particular with it's C drive usage, i controlled my downloads, defragmented the disk regularly, do the virus scan as often as i could, run cleaner every once in a while.. everything is well taken care of. this laptop is like my baby. it wasn't easy for me to get one so that was why i always pay extra attention to it. but i guess.. 38 months mark the history. i've tried every alternative. hours of running malicious program cleaner, spyware cleaner, crap cleaner, disable this, enable that.. u name it. it doesn't work. it's still slow and Louis Armstrong still insist to sing all the songs in my mp3.

so with next month's pay i'll send figo to be reformatted. meanwhile.. looks like i just have to bear with this. haihh.. btw, i really hope reformatting will solve all its problem. if the repair guy told me (touch wood) the motherboard is this.. or the hard disk is that.. i might punch him. it's recession season. do not talk money.
